Rebates, Extras ending 8/31, what's next?
I will be buying a 17" Powerbook in the next few days.
I've noticed most resellers that offer extras (free RAM, Printers etc..) have an expiration for those deals of 8/31. What typically happens after that? Do they just post new extras, rebates with a new expiration date? of do those deals dissapear for a few weeks? |

I wouldn't count on it renewing.
It's not like some resellers... these rebates tend to end when then end. arn |

The rebates will probably come back, in a different form.
I remember when I first started looking at a new computer, one year ago, the free printer that was being given out by all the mall order catalogues was the Epson c80 (or maybe c82-definitely on of those). When I order my machine in December the free printer was a C42UX (which was horrible btw). Now it seems the rebate is a epson Photo 82- or an HP 5550 (looking at MacMall right now). So just because the end, doesn't mean the printer rebate concept is done with, but that model mine not qualify. And on a side note, I had a rebate postmarked 2 days late of the deadline, and ClubMac accepted it. It was a 100 rebate on a PowerBook battery. Pretty generous huh? |
