I copy & download Canon Raw files and JPG files to my new MBP, but the icon preview (thumbnail) did not show the correct orientation of the picture took in PORTRAIT mode. All the icon only show LANDSCAPE mode.

Any way to solve this?

As far I remember, my old IMAC has no problem with show correct orientation of the picture files in icon preview (thumbnail), which means picture took in portrait will show a portrait icon and picture took in landscape will show a landscape icon.😕

I've always had the same issue and finally thought I'd search the board to find a solution... does anyone have one?

I believe the icon previews draw on the direct contents of the file, and don't take into account the EXIF "rotation" tag, which is how I assume the correct orientation is stored in these files (or something similar).
