WTB: Internal DVD-R/CD-RW for Powerbook G4

I want to upgrade my PowerBook's capabilities with an internal DVD-R/CD-RW. Got one for sale? Know someone who does? Please let me know.

Thanks,
Brian5oh

I think we need more info than just my powerbook. Is it a tibook. I assume that it is since you say its a G4. There is a company that advertises here that sells combo drive and superdrive updgrades for tibooks but I cant remember the name. The cool thing about the company is that they ship you a special container for your PB then you ship it and they do the work and have it shipped backed to you in 48 hours. Maybe someone else here can tell you the name. Good Luck!

My PowerBook is a 400. I didn't know that mattered in adding a DVD-R/CD-RW, or I would have mentioned it in the original posting.

Anyway, I want to buy the DVD-R/CD-RW. I don't want to pay someone else to install it. I would greatly appreciate anyone steering me to a direct purchase.

Many thanks.

When you find one you will also have to find a special bracket to install it because the 400 and 500 were not available with a combo drive, the superdive uses the same bracket as the combo but not the standard dvd drive. Btw the company that Tazo directed you to is not the same one I was reffering to but it is simalar. Good Luck -Ram
