Hi,

I'm going to upgrade my powerbook's memory, so I've been doing a little bit of price comparison online. So far I've found (512MB module):

  • Crucial: $139.99
  • Kingston: $158.00
  • Other World Ccomputing: $96.99

I know Crucial's and Kingston's memory has excellent quality, but the price is a bit high... What are your experiences with OWC's memory?

Also, any other suggestion on where to buy the memory?

Thanks!!!

I've got all my memory from owc. Never had any problems with it and the price has always been good. In fact, the business I work for usually goes through them for memory upgrades. Doubt they'd still be doing that if they didn't have a good track record with them.

I got mine from Crucial, but if OWC is really good quality then go for it. btw-crucial has free ground shipping.

I recommend crucial; pretty cheap, high-quality, and usually free shipping 🙂
