I know there are alot of threads about Ram but it's hard to find any for the UK.
Where are people buying from? Ram here seems to be so much more expensive.
I'm looking for 2x 2gb for the new imac the price seems to be around £190.

Normally I'd recommend crucial, but their current price seems to be around £90 per 2Gb stick.

I also use scan for lots of computer bits. The currently have memory of the correct spec for £65 per stick.

That deal's amazing.
£130 for 4GB looks a lot better than £90 for 2GB from Apple. I'm tempted! :)
I haven't heard of them before, though.

Prices have come down it seems!

For the imac from crucial:
1GB £17.03
2 GB £57.56
4 GB (2x2GB) £115.14

Before I saw this I was going to import from macsales OWC ram where 4GB will cost me $184 (£88) Now I don't know which to use as I might get stung by customs for another £16.

Any advise?

OWC are great, but by the time you've paid carriage + VAT + import duty, it'll almost certainly be cheaper to have bought from Crucial (who are also a very good supplier).

So the $184 doesn't include VAT? So I could end up paying £30 plus on top of that.
Critical it is!
Thanks

The price of RAM has dropped a lot in the last week. Crucial are now selling 4GB for £115.14 inc. VAT. I'm tempted to buy for my future iMac, but I know the prices will probably have dropped again by the time that happens.

I'm tempted at that price for the 4GB, then just need to offload 2 x 1GB to some one.

Just a heads-up for fellow UK RAM buyers. Crucial have an offer on 2GB for £48.93 inc VAT, so thats £97.85 for 4GB! ...plus you can get another 10% off (excluding VAT) buying through quidco :D

...strange how if you buy it as a 4GB kit, it's still listed as £115.14!
