What do they usually do at the event?
I saw on apple's site free t-shirt for first 500.
I really don't see 500 people being at Roosevelt Field for that.

I did the Amazon pre-order, but I might stop by to check out the crowds.

I can't imagine it being anything like the iPhone launch, maybe I can get a T-Shirt!

I doubt it will fit though, those pot smokin tree huggin hippie freaks out in Cali don't make shirts bigger than a Large, its bad for their image

FWIW, Roosevelt Field is always crowded these days.

I got a touch there (that I eventually exchanged for an iPhone). This was when the iPod touch just came out...the first day it started showing up in stores. And there didn't seem to be anyone there that had a clue it was out yet. My guess is there will be the usual crowd of people checking out the gear but not a lot of people interested in Leopard. I'm going to leave work at 5 and should get to the apple store no later than 5:30.......

At the tiger premier Apple gave out scratch cards upon entering the store. They gave out free products, I want a T shirt

I'm not sure if I'll be at Garden City, Fifth Ave, or SoHo.

Just read that they are giving out shirts to the first 500 guests. I don't know if you have to buy Leopard or not, but I would assume you would have to buy something.

I won't be there until later anyway. I wish that Lotto retirement plan would just kick in already!

I got there at about 6:30 or so and there were maybe 50 people in line. It moved quickly. By the time I left the store (Teh Don Ditty was there too) at 7:30ish, there were no people on line.

Here's a few pics I took.

There were more than 50 people there at 6. I was one of the last in the main line and that had 45-50 people in it. I don't know how many there were in the other line. I was out by 6:15 though. Very cool t-shirts.
