Thumbs up Was there for Tiger

...but the line was so long we went to Crazy Buffet to eat sushi and came back at 9. We'll be there for the Big Cat. Hope they're handing out scratch cards with neat prizes.

I may go and hang a bit, although I'm getting the up-to-date discs sent to me. Be cool just to see what they're doing.

I've ordered mine online but might show up. Are they handing out stuff to people in line or do you have to buy Leopard to get some of the freebies?

Why wait in line

Why wait in line...The Best buy in Citrus Park and the CompUSA in Brandon will both have Leopard without waiting. The will also have Apple Representatives on hand to answer questions.

The release is the buzz, the standing in line anticipating it is the stoke. Best Buy's okay for CDs, and CompUSA is fine for ink cartridges, but when's the last time you heard people say "Let's meet at Best Buy to get a new HDMI cable?"

Besides, it'll be on Friday. The Mac fanboys can then go to Blue Martini and look smugly upon the beautiful people lined up to throw money at indifferent bartenders serving overpriced drinks, all the while holding up their copies of Leopard while yelling "I've got mine, I've got mine!"

I'll be there in my hospital scrubs by 6pm. This is turning out to be a great week. Started on a down with me being sick for 4 days after a flu shot. Wed my son turns 12, Thursday we are going to the hockey game (go lightning) and Friday I'm bringing home a big cat.

see ya all there,

I hope they have plenty of the family packs. That was a problem when iworks08 was released. Had to wait a few days because they kept running out.

Probably a couple hundred that will fit 25% of the people they give them to

I was #407 in line at 6:51 PM. Got a shirt (and a nice one it is).

Staff handled everything smoothly. Very upbeat and cordial, especially the key personnel (managers, etc). There were dedicated lines for those just buying Leopard; the whole process took less than ten minutes. Went downstairs to Starbucks and saw three MacBook users installing their new OS (the mall offers free WiFi through Bright House / Roadrunner).
