I pulled out my old iomega zip 100 usb drive cuz I am not backing up enough these days.
The website says I don't need to download drivers with ox 10.4 that it should just appear when I turn it on.
It doesnt and it won't eject the disk inside. I threw away the software accidently, iomegaware. I tried to download it and it didn't work.

BTW:
I heard from a mac genius that the new leopard might automatically download stuff for you.
Is that so?

I really don't want to spend $ if I don't have to. I'd like to get this iomega going.

You are either using a bad Zip disk or you munged your OS. Every version of MacOS X to date handles USB Zip drives with 100 MB disks out-of-the-box with no need to download drivers. Just to be sure, I tested my USB Zip drive on my installation of MacOS X 10.4.10. Works like a charm.
