I've got a G3 PowerBook in excellent condition running 10.3. I'd like to upgrade to 10.4 (Can't run 10.5 on a G3), however I may have waited too long to get it from the Apple Education Store as it is no longer listed.

Does anybody know from previous experience what happens to any vendors stock of a previous OS once the new one comes out? I'd like to get 10.4 for around $80.

Prices on places like Amazon and eBay should plunge after Leopard's release. Just make sure the seller is legit and you should have no worries. Even Panther still sells on eBay new in sealed boxes.
