Probably just some Quicktime fixes.

Isn't iDVD a part of iLife that was also updated today. (I know that people who don't have Superdrives don't get it but still at 6.5 MB it is hardly massive.

Also why can't they release all the SW updates at the same time.

This update is for iDVD 6 from iLife '06. The earlier update was for iLife '08.

This update is also available for Tiger. I don't know if it will do anything. I don't even know why I'm installing it. I'm upgrading to Leopard tomorrow.

A rather funny coincidence: I haven't used iDVD '06 since early in the year, but I used it last night and this morning for a new project. Then an update appeared the same day!

If I'd known I was using a version with "overall stability" issues I might have waited an extra day!

Hhm, I have iLife'06 on my MacBook, since it comes bundled with any new Mac.

If I now want to make a clean install with Leopard - can I than later still install iLife'06 and the other programs that are bundled on the Tiger Install-Disks that came with the MacBook?

I don't think so. Your best bet there would be to back up your entire hard disk to an external drive prior to the upgrade, then use Leopard's migration assistant to pull the Applications folder back onto your MacBook post installation. It's not as clean as it could be, but it will get you where you want to be.

Woah there! Can't he just install leopard, then put his macbook recovery disc in, and click reinstall bundled apps, then click the customise button when it appears on the page about "which hard disk", then just tick the apps he wants, including ilife, comic life, office trial etc?

Yeah...I thought you could reinstall the apps from that second disk. Do you know how many people would be screwed if you couldn't?

Can somebody please confirm that you really can do this, or that you just think that it might be possible?

Otherwise it would mean, that if you screw up your system and want to make a clean install you always have to take the full upgrade-tour...
