Mac OS X Leopard Ships to Customers, Launch T-Shirt Photos, Leopard Screenshots

Apple will be officially launching Mac OS X Leopard at retail stores worldwide at 6 p.m. local time. To entice early customers, Apple will be giving out free Leopard T-Shirts.

The T-shirt reads "Add a new Mac to your Mac. Introducing Mac OS X Leopard" on the front, and has an Apple logo on the back. If you are planning on attending a launch event, you can coordinate with other MacRumors users in our Leopard Event Meetups forum. We encourage users to attach photos of their event in their respective local thread.

While there were a few early arrivals, the majority of Mac OS X pre-orders will be arriving throughout the day on Friday, October 26th (video of Leopard arrival in Japan). Our Mac OS X forum will be the best place post first impressions and get questions answered to potential issues.

We will try to highlight some of the more interesting screenshots and features of Leopard as the weekend goes on. A few interesting screenshots posted to the forums:

But on a multi-page PDF, only the first page’s corner curls down. And in the gap it reveals, you can see a tiny bit of the *actual* page 2 showing."

Trying to decide if it's worth waiting in a huge line for a "free" shirt.

Shirt looks cool, but I think I'll stick with a local reseller who is offering $30 off leopard Fri night.

Can't wait. I didn't pre-order my copy, so I'm hoping they have enough in stock. I'm getting in line at noon.

This all looks great! Can't wait for Leopard! The most burning question in mind right now is whether Safari is going to be Snappier?

AppleInsider has a bunch of screenshots too.

One VERY welcome new feature they reveal: in Mail, if you have rules that auto-file incoming messages into folders, they can STILL (optionally) be counted in the red badge on the dock icon. At last!

And I don't feel bad about missing out on the shirts now

That's GOTTA be the employee shirt or something... that shirt is cheap and lame.

I figured it would be black, with the X logo from the front of the box.

So anyone can get a T-shirt? Or is it with the purchase of Leopard? I think I'm goin to be goin since I didn't order it online and I don't have to work. Should be interesting.

That's incredible if they don't, I'd be pissed. Luckily for me I pre-ordered with a military discount.

As for the shirt = awful.

Is it just me, or is "Add a new Mac to your Mac. Introducing Mac OS X Leopard" the dumbest slogan in history? They really couldn't have come up with something just a little more impressive than that? Sounds like something an 8-years old would make up .

Is it just me or is the whole "Add a new Mac to your Mac" the worst marketing-type thing I've ever heard?

Don't get the slogan

I'm not trying to be a jerk. But I don't understand the tag line. Add a new mac to my mac? Maybe

"Add a new bag of tricks to your bag of tricks" would have been much more powerful.

Does anyone understand it - ?

Is there a student discount and an HE discount? (separate things) I assume there's practically no chance of offering the latter (@ £58.75)?

Omg, that searchable menus stuff are awesome!

And indeed truly innovative as always and expected from Apple. So sweet to be able to search within your bookmarks aswell.

Now if only I could somehow export my delicious bookmarks (I should reorganize them thought but they are well over a thousand ..)

They're probably targeting overweight system administrators with neck beards.

Kind of a dumb shirt. Who is actually going to wear that outside of AppleFairyland? I sure wouldn't. Would have been nice if they just gave out a plain black t-shirt or something with maybe the space background.
