Indesign CS3 won't open in Leopard.
I'm having an issue starting up Indesign CS3 since upgrading to Leopard. It seems like everything else has been working great, including the rest of CS3, so I'm kinda baffled as to why this doesn't.
When I open it, after loading for a few seconds, I get this error: ![]() Any ideas?

Is this after freshly installing Indesign or just opening Indesign after upgrading to Leopard ?

Opening indesign after upgrading to leopard. I also have suitcase, but I tried it with suitcase closed, and it still doesn't open.

Yeah, I'm going to try that when I get home. I'm guessing no one else is having this issue?

works on tiger not on leopard. this can be a disaster for some one like me who uses it alot. Adobe should release a patch within next days if they are competent enough

*opens indesign*
*waits with a beating heart* Did this error occur right after you opened InDesign? Or did you start working in it and then it happened? It seems to be working fine for me. :/

I've installed Leopard and brand new CS3 and it doesn't let me open
any CS3 applications Indesign, Illustrator or Photoshop etc Message says You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling or contact Adobe customer support for help Has anyone else had this problem |

Howdy...
I know this probably doesn't help, but I did an upgrade to Leopard today, and inDesign is working just fine for me. Also, PhotoShop and Illustrator work too... All CS3 versions... I'm fairly amazed, since so many are reporting problems... Best, Ben --------------------------------------------------------- neo-fight.tv - {The Weekly Technology Podcast} |

Normal OS update and ID works fine, though it took ages to open... (I was also indexing at the time...)
Good thing my CS3 seems to be working. |

Arghh
I have exactly the same problem. I made an upgrade from 10.4.10 to 10.5 on my mpb c2d. Everything seems to work except indesign. I have tried everything. People had the same problem before leopard, but they it´s because you haven't got a default printer or that its a bug concerning the SING plugin. I´ve uninstalled, installed, tried everything. Please somebody help, got a desperate deadline. So pretty stupid to upgrade to leopard without backup. Let me know if you hear something! Thanks in advance!!!

Production 101: Desperate deadlines mean you do not upgrade with a .0 release or mess with a working setup at all.

I have exactly the same problem as the person who started the thread. Upgraded a Macbook Pro to Leopard, InDesign CS3 crashes a few seconds into startup with the exact same message.
Don't think Adobe will be patching this, as they have said InDesign is compatible with Leopard. Anyone had anything back from their customer support? |

I agree however I was confident things would work since Adobe has been testing on Leopard for months now. I do have a laptop should things get tight but this is very inconvenient.

After clean install (wiped HD, of course) and I already installed CS3 esp. InDD and it worked great 2nd time. The first wasn't and I learned that you MUST not run Safari while installing.
There was no warning about that but it was odd.

Creative Suite (1)
I have original InDesign CS and other Creative Suite apps (except Photoshop which is CS2). I was about to buy a new powerBook but it looks like I won't be able to run InDesign on Leopard. As I only use it occasionally don't want to spend about £500 to upgrade whole Creative Suite - it is mainly Photoshop I use - maybe I should just stick with my old powerbook.
Has anyone tried older CS versions with Leopard yet? |
