Dock turns iPod Touch on - can I prevent this?

Does anyone know how to put the iPod Touch in the dock and not have it automatically turn on? It seems to happen regardless of whether the dock is connected to the Mac.

Any ideas? When I've finished using the iPod Touch, I want to store it in the dock - I don't want it to turn on.

DOnt connect the dock to the usb port and u should be fine
