.mac sync icon in Menu Bar

Anyone know how to get rid of this thing?
I can't access .Mac settings because I don't have a .Mac account, yet apparently it thinks I want .Mac Sync in my menu bar ( I obviously do not )

is there a way to change this in a preference file?

Hold down Command and drag it off.
