Hello,

I'm having trouble with my iMac G5 DVD burning. When I try burning a DVD (with Disk Utility), I get this error:

Unable to burn "my.dmg". (The device failed to calibrate the laser power level for this media.)

When I typed in the error in google search field, I got a few results. Most of them were saying that my DVD burner is messed up. Is this the case or are there any solutions?

The DVD I'm trying to burn on to is a Philips Double Layer DVD+R. I have successfully burned onto the other Philips Double Layer DVD before and it all worked well. Until now ... I actually had troubles burning audio CD through iTunes with a regular CD earlier too ... It burned the first CD and when I was trying to burn the other CD, it gave me an error too ...

I really hope you guys can help me out.

Thanks,
dr4cula
