Hi,

I'm kinda stressed, my Leopard install is stuck on that blue screen with the mouse pointer (and always goes to that when i hard restart). I can reinstall it from the disk and this time try an Archive & Install instead of an upgrade, but I'm afraid of what i'll lose.

what will i lose? thanks

nothing

I had the same issue and then went with the archive and install. You will lose nothing. The process was very smooth when I went that route.

So what does happen during Archive and Install? What is archived and where is it archived to?

Thanks. 🙂

/Library and /System are moved to Previous Systems Folder.

Updated and new Apple applications are written into /Applications.
