Disk Utility Error

Just got this Disk Utility Error when I was verifying my disk:
Verifying volume “Macintosh HD”
Checking HFS Plus volume.
Checking Extents Overflow file.
Checking Catalog file.
Incorrect block count for file PACESupport.plist
(It should be 0 instead of 1)
Checking multi-linked files.
Checking Catalog hierarchy.
Checking Extended Attributes file.
Checking volume bitmap.
Checking volume bitmap.
ation.",0)
The volume Macintosh HD needs to be repaired.

Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit

1 HFS volume checked
Volume needs repair

Ran it again and it's fine. The past few days it has been slowly than it was on startup. Ran all of Onyx's utilities last night. On 10.4.10. Should I be worried? It's only a few weeks old...

I have been having the exact same problem, repeatedly, although in some instances it does not come up when I run disk utility. My computer has been freezing a lot however, and this error seems to come up when i have to switch off my computer by holding the power button down and run disk utility afterwards. My computer seems most inclined to freeze when I am ripping dvd's, transfering data from a jump drive (USB), running itunes, or moving files into itunes. Sometimes my computer simply freezes when left unattended. When it freezes I can hear what I think is the 'head' inside my hard drive trying to read or write --- a sort of 'pencil on paper' kind of noise. It is very disconcerting. Please help.

BTW -- I am running a Macbook Pro, OS X 10.4.11, 2.16 Ghz Intel Core Duo

Although I am no expert in the area, I would do the following:

1. Check S.M.A.R.T. status
2. Run Disk Utility after booting from the Mac OS DVD

If none of this worked, I would then call Apple or visit a Genius Bar.
