how do i get .mac to stop confirming changes and just sync

i finally set everything up to sync. i scheduled it for every hour. problem is that instead of just syncing the changes it sends confirmation notices everytime. and i'm not infront of both computers at the same time. can't i just say sync and used the file that was last modified at all times? no i just come back to a computer with pop window wanting to confirm everything.
