Wine has ~/.wine/drive_c to act as a 'virtual' c drive.Hallo... New here, and new with Macs... may I ask... once I install the MagicISO, where should I install it? it keeps detecting C:\ as a default option... So, the first time I did it, It said it was already installed but....
Thanks!
Install X11i try to install MagicIso, but keep getting this message when i try to open it with darwine:
Application tried to create a window, but no driver could be loaded.
Make sure that your X server is running and that $DISPLAY is set correctly.
Any ideas?
There are no mac programs that can handle the UIF format as far as I know.
The only FREE way I have figured out how to do it is:
1. Install X11
2. Install Darwine
3. Download MagicISO
4. Open Winehelper (it's in the Darwine folder)
5. Using Winehelper, open the MagicISO installer
6. Install MagicISO
7. Using Winehelper, open MagicISO
8. Under "Tools" Select "Decompress UIF files" Select the UIF file you want to convert and hit "Decompress." It will output as an ISO. You can then use Disk Utility to open or burn the ISO.
My goodness, what a complicated solution has been posted above. Try this:

If you need to work with a UIF file over 2GB, compile it as a 64 bit binary.
Hey people, Look I know this problem was months n months ago but I'm having issues with this .Uif file shizzle now.
I have the Uif2iso program, the NEW one; uif2iso4mac which is supposed bypass all that terminal malarky, n i've been thru tha long http://vafer.org/blog/20080124001224 link which is old n irrelevant now since uif2iso4mac...
My last hope is finding out how to "compile it as a 64 bit binary." like 'antibact1' said, becos my file is just over a Gig, but i don't quite know wot that means.
Can some1 help please a bruva out?
Try UIF2ISO4Mac by Torsten Curdt.
Version Version 1.1.2 (28.11.2008) works GREAT!

Summary from site:
"You've got a UIF file from a friend and have no clue how to use it on your Mac? No need to go and boot up your old Windows PC (if you still have one). Just drop the file into UIF2ISO for Mac and it will convert it into a standard ISO format. The ISO you can just use with OS X. Open it. Burn it."
It does exactly what it promises!
