Help - Looking for Basic Drawing Program

Hi, new Mac user here!

I'm looking for an application that can provide basic drawing tools. My needs are very simple - I need to annotate pictures and technical drawings (text, box or circle items, draw arrows, etc) All of the stuff I'm finding is either over-powered (and expensive!) or more Paint / Photo oriented.

Any ideas welcome!
