How to get a binary copy of GWhere?
one of the few software i really miss on mac is GWhere, an open-source media archiver tool. It's availble in binary form both for Windows and Linux, but not for Mac. They provide a tar.gz archive with all the sources and there is a readme inside that explain you what you have to change to compile it succesfully under Mac OS X.
The first problem is that I don't really know anything about C. I'm a bit into Java for university stuff but i don't know anything about C, so i don't really know how adapt these sources for Mac OS. The second problem is that I don't really want to install XCode (1GB+ of stuff) to just compile some sources files, also because I'm usual to keep my old (and slow) laptop (iBook G4 1,33) pretty far from useless datas and apps to maximize the free hd space and the performances.
The ideal thing'd be somebody that could compile this for me and upload the dmg or the zipped .app somewhere on the web but maybe I'm asking too much Another solution, if it exists, it could be the download of a gcc version for mac os x without downloading all the XCode apps and tools.
But, googling, it seems that this is an utopia, because Apple bundles gcc inside xcode and doesn't provide separate download...
Thank you very much!
The software home page is: http://www.gwhere.org.
The sources are downloadable from the following link: http://www.gwhere.org/download/sourc...e-0.2.3.tar.gz
Thank you in advance for any help
