My first Leopard bug?

Mail has been working just fine for me until tonight. It crashes whenever I try to delete a message. Anyone else have this problem? It's iLife '08.

Irrespective, I'm not sure if iLife has anything to do with it. 😱

Really? Oh, that's good news! It's Gmail. The email I was trying to delete from Mail didn't have an attachment, but that could be it.

I just tried opening a different email, and it crashed while opening it.

I sent myself an email to my Gmail account. I opened up Mail and it retrieved it. It crashed when I tried to open it. I deleted the email from Gmail in Firefox and opened Mail again. It was still in my inbox. Then, when I tried to close Mail, it crashed... I don't really understand why... because I was just trying to close it.

Ha ha, I have no idea what most of that means. I know which thread it crashed in though, hahaha. 😀 Thanks for the help, by the way!

Okay, try manually removing it from within Finder whilst Mail is closed. In Tiger, there's a folder in your Home folder's Library called Mail. From this it's relatively easy to find an email if you look by folder and then date. I assume it's roughly the same for Leopard... 🙂

Okay, so I have been trying to fix this for a while and I'm thinking I'll just take my MBP to the Apple Store this weekend or next week and have them take a look at it. But, maybe someone knows what to do?

Now it is no longer just deleting emails. I can't open them. Any of them. I've tried some with attachments, plain text, nothing opens.
