Hello,

I want to pick a new powerbook but I've got some nasty sales tax in my state. Is there any place you could buy one online and avoid paying sales tax? It's a shame apple.com collects sales tax. ;-)

Thanks for any info anyone can provide.

I don't think there is anyone to avoid the sales tax, except if you order from Amazon or something.

I just raped for 8.25% cause that is the rate where school is, but at my billing address its only 6%..

*Waves bye to like $50*

You can avoid the sales tax if you know someone who lives in Delaware, New Hampshire, or some other state with no Sales Tax. You could have them order it for you and then pick it up.

Of course, this only works if you are nearby (or planning a visit).
