How do I unzip!?

I'm having trouble unzipping downloaded pc winzip files...

is there a program that helps me do this?

Is it possible to unzip pc zip files to my mac please help...

I'm trying to unzip a few folders of music and photos for my family...let me know ASAP!

They should automatically unzip when you try to open them.

I'm pretty sure OS X has the built in ability to open them by just double clicking.

Anyway, get yourself The Unarchiver (direct DL), it will handle everything.

unarchiver is busted. doesn't associate itself right with a group of files 🙁 atleast in leopard.

Its probably just a problem with your Mac 😉. Try Get Info (Command I) on an appropriate file and then change the "Open With" application to Unarchiver and press "Change All".

I always keep Stuffit Expander and The Unarchiver for my expanding needs 🙂

Each one can't handle some file types which the other can...

I did that, and unarchiver would barf up errors. I asked about it here and was told it's a known issue with the unarchiver.

How do I unzip!?

Get Stuffit Expander, google it, this is a free download.

Whenever I download a file the expansion of that file is automatic. Whenever the download does not expand, it's because the download is corrupt. Download again.
