iPod touch can't connect to wifi connection

I was on my ipod touch earlier looking at youtube videos and looking at some websites. I lost the internet connection and have not been able to get it back. It will locate my home wireless connection but says its unable to connect. I have searched on line on various forums but I have not been able to find any info to help. I am not very computer savvy so some of it seems like a foreign language to me. I would appreciate any help with this matter. Thanks!
