Ever since last night when I did my last update, My macbook pro has been plagued with errors.

i had a grey screen thing after the update, telling me to restart the laptop, and now everytime i try to open office and photoshop i get an error message that reads:

The application "Word" could not be launched because of a shared library error: "<Microsoft Word><Microsoft Word><CarbonLib><>"

I've looked up the carbonlib error, and people are saying go into disk utility and repair permissions or something - last night a box came up asking for something to access my keychain.. i just said ok.

the only problem is, when i go to open disk utility, it opens for half a second then closes again.

and to make everything just that little bit better, my warranty expired yesterday. perfect timing.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!
