Largest iTMS Song Rollout, So Far!

Check the number of tracks and albums added to iTMS, today. It's amazing. Perhaps massive library updates were the cause for the outage, the other day?

I saw that too. Although I barely know any of those artists, it is definitely a good thing. Anyone care to estimate how songs there are on the iTMS now? We started with 200,000 in late April.

I'd guess 275.000. 🙂
 
I wonder if apple will issue a press release at some time touting the number of songs they have. I'm sure they're waiting for a certian number to do it. I hope they do though, 'cause I'm curious as well.
 
If you look at some of the albums and check the record labels you'll see that the indies are finally in the mix. It's been about 3 months since the big indie meeting right? That would explain the influx.

I noticed the huge influx last night and stopped by here to see if anyone else had commented.

Doing a very rough estimate, it looks like there are almost 900 new albums this week (last week wasn't too shabby, either). At 15 songs per album (don't know how close that average is), it works out to over 13,000 new tracks. Nice.

I've been keeping an eye on the "just added" section, and the biggest previous week I noticed only saw in the vicinity of 2,000 new songs (that was a couple months ago). Wonder if they'll keep this pace up now that the indies are coming in...

(Smallest week was like 5 new albums, if you're wondering.)

My music will be up whenever I feel it is ready to truly represent me (assuming CD Baby or Oasis is able to get it in there).

Yeah its really just my type of music.

Chose a label of your best intrests! (Hint: No RIAA, Indie is good)
