Wireless woes
Ok so I finally decided to install Vista Ultimate on my imac (core duo 1.83) and here's the story:
The installation finishes. Vista runs very smooth, surprisingly better than the faster core 2 duo's at my work. I then realize some functions of the keyboard aren't working (10-key etc) so I decide to install the drivers off the leopard cd. Here's where all hell breaks loose. Once the installation finishes my keyboard and mouse no longer work. I tried turning them off and on several times w/ no success. I tried powering on/off but still no controls. I only have the apple wireless keyboard and mouse. Keep in mind my leopard cd is stuck now cause I have no keyboard use and I can't go back to osx b/c I can't use the alt key at bootup either. Any slick tricks? Do I need to go buy a freakin corded mouse just to get access? |

Update
Ok so I picked up a cheap $10 usb mouse and got everything working. The only lame thing is everytime I boot into vista I have to manually resync the keyboard. The mouse automatically syncs everytime like it should. Did I mention I can't believe how fast it is? Holy crap I've used vista on some fairly nice machines but I can't believe how fast it runs on an almost 2 year old mac
