Been sent an access 2007 database (.accdb) from the other side and don't know what to do with it. I have Office 2004 student and teacher edition but not iwork. Is there any way i can open this file without spending any money?

Cheers. That was quick. All my googling turned up was stuff about how they just recently changed the file extension. That's great, thx.

I was frustrated by the lack of support for Access databases on the Mac as well, so I wrote a program to open them: MDB / ACCDB Viewer. You can buy it on the Mac App Store.

If you want a free solution, have a look at the Open Source MDB Tools. I think they should also be able to open accdb files.
