Partition table errors when booting into Vista 64
First post
![]() And my first mac Imac 2.4 20" all stock except for 4gb of crucial ram. Loaded up Vista 64 fine. I can switch between the OS's without issue when booting up. However when I boot into Vista, I get this (see pics) Is that normal ? Vista works fine once it boots up. Jesse |

The reason you are getting those messages is your using a pirate copy of vista! Its loading a program to get around the activation issues of using a pirate copy of vista and the mac partition makes it get confused. You would not get those messages if you actually bought an original copy of vista.

It figures. I don't want to mess around with it so I'll load up a good copy. Just wanted to 'test' before I went out and made the wrong decision. Good to know. Thanks Jesse |

Well if you do actually buy vista I would not bother getting the 64 bit version. The bootcamp drivers are really for the 32 bit version right now, so you might have problems with some of the hardware in windows.

The BC drivers loaded without issues on the 64bit version.
When I put in the Leopard disk and ran the bootcamp setup, it loaded and detected everything. wifi/nw/sound/ati vid/wireless key and mouse/bluetooth. It all works. I'm just going through and loading up the 7.11 omega drivers. Sys detects it as an XT (I've seen the other threads). I wanted to see if the 64bit Vista is faster detecting the dual cores and 4gb's of ram opposed to the 32bit version. If it's stable and works, then I'll pick one up. If not, then I'll go back my old XP. Jesse |
