Limewire

Anyone use Limewire, I used it a lot on Windows and had no problems.

But do not want to use it on mac if there is something better.

Just after your views on it.

Ta.

I use it in os x and dont' have any issues. Mind you I don't use it often, not because there are better programs, just because I've never been a heavy p2p user.

Personally I like Cabos, and it connects to the Limewire network so I suppose it's really all the same...

When Limewire wasn't a universal binary, I switched to Frostwire. It's almost exactly the same as Limewire, but I think it's a little better.

I've been using the PPC version for heck knows how long. Only realised it'd gone Universal today.

Don't use it much, only for the few standalone items I can't find using Azureus.

I don't like Limewire now at all. I mostly use Google's blog search to find what I'm after If you want a P2P programme I think SoulseeX is pretty good.

Is there a way to sync limewire downloads on my iPod to my new iMac? I read somewhere that it needs to verify content was purchased?

I used to use Frostwire, but when I upgraded to Leopard it quit connecting

So now when I need to download anything from P2P I open Ares Galaxy in Parallels and download it from there. I wish Ares Galaxy was developed for OS X, and not that crap they consider to be it in Poisoned

IMO limewire is excellent. almost always find single items, but bittorrent for larger things is definitely better. killer dl rates with limewire, like over 300kbps consistently.
