Both of these memory speeds are in the powerbooks but do they make a difference considering the G4 doesn't handle DDR memory? Would it just hit its limit of 167 with both of them?

Would it matter performance wise as well?

I believe so, just like DDR400 bottoms out at 400Mhz when the G5 has a 1Ghz fsb.

I doubt there is any performance lost though. RAM speed isn't a primary factor. The HD will probably slow it down first.
