10.4.11 only printing first page with second page blank in word, adobe, etc

This appears to be a system wide problem and I cannot find an answer. I've tried google, I've tried searching this forum. If a regular has a link to a solution please let me know.

I try to print a >1 page .pdf with adobe (I downloaded the newest reader to see if there was an adobe side update) and it only prints the first page followed by a second blank page.

I try to print a >1 page word document and it only prints the first page with a blank second page.

It appears other programs are having the same problem. I tried to search the macrumors forums and couldn't find an answer.

this only happens when i print to my office IP printer.

When I connect to my printer at home directly through USB it prints fine.

i can't seem to log in to that mac page to reply but the proposed software fix is for 10.5.1

why doesn't apple send the fix out for 10.4.11????
