Can't delete custom color profile

I'm in the exact same situation as you. Well, almost. I am able to delete some of the ones I've created and some I cannot. I eagerly await a solution.
OH, forgot to mention that I am on 10.5.1 and using an HP w19b with my 15.4" CD Macbook Pro.

I have the exactly same problem. I recently change my monitor connected to the Macbook and now is so dark. I "calibrate" it but is the same.
However when the Mac startup it show colors fine by 1 or 3 seconds... and then the dark colors come.
I want to reset the color profiles but is impossible!

Hi, don't know if you've already found an answer, but I got rid of my extra profiles by going to
HardDrive/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/Displays
and deleted the ones I didn't want.
Not sure about resetting color profiles, though, sorry DArnaez.

I just tried HardDrive/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/Displays to delete a display profile that I couldn't previously and it worked. I think the problem was that when I created the profile, I clicked the box that said "Allow other users to use this calibration." Clicking that box seems to lock the profile; the only way to get delete it is to use the path above. So, if you don't need to reproduce the display profile for another user of your computer, make sure that this box is not checked. Thank you, ashslaveDT.

Yes, if you allow other users to use the color profile, it will appear in the main Library, not allowing users to accessibly delete it from system preferences. If you don't allow other users, it will appear in your own User/Library/colorsync, which allows you to delete it from preferences.
Just be careful not to delete the other system color profiles while you are in there.

To delete a color profile we shall: 1)open 'Utilities' folder, 2)open 'ColorSync Utility', 3)select 'Devices' option, 4) Inside 'Devices' select 'Displays' item, 5.1)Select calibration name, 5.2)Click on the button with an arrow 5.3)Select 'Other' option 5.4)Choose the calibration profile file 6)Open the Recycle Bin, 7)drag the color profile file to the Recycle Bin.
It's a great way about using a system utility.
