thanks in advance guys

wow, I just tried wap.macrumors.com and it does not work, so I guess not.

Sorry

wap.macrumors.com doesn't work, but mobile.macrumors.com does. wap.howardforums.com works just fine though. The OP just needs to type the address in and try it for themselves.

i am a uk customer. and basically i wanna access the tzones main web page. but the wap version of it. thanks alot for all the effort :)

You DON'T. Read the manual. iPhone doesn't support "WAP".
If the website is in WML, you can forget about it. If its just stripped down HTML with no browser detection, you're probably okay. iPhone renders the idea of "WAP" completely obsolete. At this point, all mobile browsers will be incorporating similar mobile engines, better CPUs, and start moving towards web 2.0 compatibility as well (if they're not already).

You'll find a crazy canvas out there of websites that either don't know any better, or fell behind the curve. Generally that content isn't worth watching anyway.

Premierleague.com has a wap site that I cannot use. That content is worth watching.

Why would you WANT to get WAP on iPhone? :D Hahaha

I go to a website where I can upload apps to save for later but inorder for to be able to retrieve them I have to put in wap."name of site".net. So oh smart ones, how do we access the site ?

Now it is years after the OP was written ... HOWEVER if anyone still wants to know how ...

Opera Mini (downloadable from the iTunes App Store) is an alternative web browser for the iPhone that can handle wap/"mobile" sites by changing the settings ("mobile" mode should be turned ON - it is OFF by default)
