In email you just copy the image then compose an email then paste the image in the main composition window.

As far as copy and pasting to a website you cant do that unless you're using a website builder app.

For putting it in a thread here, you have a couple of options...

1) There is a manage attachments button, if you scroll down in the window where you're writing your message. You can use it to host the picture on our server. You don't have to register for anything, but the image file must be fairly small, and you won't have any resize kinds of options.

2) You can open a free account with photobucket.com, imageshack.com, flickr.com, or any other site that lets you upload images and then access them directly. On most of these sites, once you upload the image, you'll either get a URL (starting with http) and/or an "IMG" tag (starting with [ IMG ] without the spaces). The easiest way is to paste the one that starts with IMG directly into your post. Alternatively, you get the direct URL (starts with http), click the yellow add picture icon above the reply textbox, and insert the URL there.

3) Search for Skitch here -- it is a neat little program that actually simplifies this whole process, because it includes its own hosting. It takes the snapshot, lets you edit / comment on it, and then one click upload it and get the IMG tag that you post. A lot of us use and love it. I think it's still a private beta, but if you look up the thread on it here, someone will probably be happy to give you an invite.

Good luck!
