It shows up fine in the Finder, and when I connect it iTunes even comes to the front. But that's it. It never appears in the sidebar, which means I can't sync it or even restore it.

iPod iTunes refuses to see my 5.5G 80GB iPod

Any help would be appreciated guys. An iPod is pretty useless if you can't put music on it. Considering it worked flawlessly before I'm stumped as to why it'll mount in the finder but iTunes wont recognise it...
