First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR! ;D

A drink from rippling waters

My dog Elizabeth "litta bit" pauses for a drink during a romp in the creek which flows past my house. This Baja rescue finds fresh moving water to her liking.

The Angkor temples at Siem Reap, Cambodia were abandoned long ago when the ancient Khmer civilization succumbed to invasion. But today they are alive with local children and, in some places, tree roots.

Sometimes it pays to wait in a good location for something to happen. One very hot afternoon I sat in the shade at the east gate of Preah Khan watching the people come and go. Then the drink-seller's babe started to run in and out of the massively overgrown doorway....snap!

Amazing. Never have seen anything like it. The child in the photo gives it scale Here, if something is 200 yrs old people think it is ancient.

Happy New Year everyone.

I was in Florida for a week with my family. Was too busy relaxing to take pictures at some of the more scenic places of the area, so one nice sunny day I snapped a few walking in/around the house.
