First ever version of OS X you used on a mac, I think we'll say long term as we know that many people skipped 10.0 and waited for the free 10.1 upgrade.

Mine was 10.3

System 6 😀

Used 10.0 for a few days and then waited for 10.1, haven't looked back since.

wow, not 10 seconds and my thread already has so many posts. Hell I never even got the first poll option. You guys are too quick!

10.3 is the first I used on a mac that I owned.

I believe I used 10.1 and def 10.2 on my cousin's computer.

We got a copy of 10.0 to test for work [electronic prepress]. It was quite a while before we actually made the switch on all of our Macs.

I had to stick with 9.2.2 until Jaguar when Apple introduced core audio. Then it was still hard to solely use Jaguar. I guess I finally went over to OS X completely close to the Panther release.

I remember when 10.2 was released and I was amazed at the wallpaper of all things of it. 10.2 was MAJOR when compared to 10.1 which I was using previously.

Oh good times 😀

I was one of the crazy one (I had been reading about Copland for some time by then) that installed the beta version of OS X. I can still remember what a shock it was when I booted up the first time!

10.0.3 -- bundled as an optional install with our first Mac - the Summer 2001 original-style iMac.

That iMac ran every successive version of OS X all the way up to 10.3.9.

Purchased at the University of Hawaii Bookstore, Mac OSX 10.0(Cheetah). In fact, I still have the box, along with OS9 and every lease after Cheetah.

I was stuck in classic for many more years then I wanted to so I didn't get in till 10.3.😱

I've used every version (but the beta first...obviously...who would want that piece of junk on a machine these days).

10.0 on a "Bondi Blue" iMac.

Was pimped out with a 233MHz PPC 750, 384MB of RAM, and 2MB of Video memory (if my memory serves me right). Those were the days...

Needless to say, it ran like a dog...

I immediately upgraded to 10.0.3 from the drop-in disc that came with my 500 MHz G3 iBook (9.2 pre-installed). I used 10.0.x for about a week but it was too slow. Booted from OS 9 until 10.2 came out.

look at the distribution weird 😕 most people have tried cheetah first then it dies down and peaks again at tiger. i wonder how leopard will turn out if people keep on voting?

i first "used" Mac OS 9 on my cousin's old powerbook and then jaguar on my auntie's ibook a bit later on. the first Mac OS X version that i used and owned was tiger. im now using leopard.
