What is a ".sitx"???

I hope this is not a new stuffit file type that is going to make me update to a newer version.

Stuffit X, which is part of version 7.0x. Stuffit Expander knows how to deal with it. I haven't seen expander on any other system so I don't know whether it can be opened on systems other than Mac OS X.

I couldn't see any reason to upgrade from Stuffit 6.5 on OSX

This version enables more compression (i.e. the same file compressed to a .sit will be bigger than .sitx normally).
