Hi all,
i am running 10.5.1 on my MBP and just recently got the latest version of cocktail. i have it set to perform its duties every monday (weekly). And this would be all the scripts, permissions, etc. Is this too frequent? would this be harmful in anyway?? should i set it perhaps monthly insted?
thanks

Even their own site says:
If you are not an experienced user of Mac OS X, it is recommended that you run all of the tasks (using the default options) at least once a week.
You could do it daily or even more frequently without an issue.

thanks, i probably should have looked their 1st.....and a follow, is there one app thats better than the other for this ? ( oynx, mainmenu, cocktail)??

Onyx is great and free. Cocktail seems to have a better interface and options, though, and, really, it's not like $15 is going to break the bank.

i have both onyx and cocktail installed, that doesnt present a problem, does it? btw...think i like cocktail a bit better for the reasons you listed.

Just make sure to get the latest version of Onyx 1.9 that is Leopard compatible, the final version was released a few days ago :apple:
