is this a reasonable asking price for a MBP?

i'm putting my MBP on craigslist (the one in my sig, except with 2GB of ram instead of 4). it has applecare until july 2010. is $2000 USD a reasonable asking price. is has the original box/accessories and is in good shape.

what do you think?

they usually go for $1900 brand new on CL so i'd say it's fair.

I would say good luck asking for $2000. I think that might be a little high but it is in the ballpark. I am thinking you spent around $2800ish. You might have better luck on Ebay. If you have a convincing listing and pictures showing that your macpro is in good condition, there will probably be someone who will buy it for that much.

Maybe post a feeler in the marketplace...

I have found that people suggest good starting prices and even some decent offers!
