...if apple would use the black portions of the iphone (top & bottom) as touch-screen-estate then that would give enough amount of space to introduce virtual buttons and controls to use for playing games (in horizontal mode).

and especially with the next-gen model the graphics-gpu and ram could be upgraded to match the quality of a psp or better.

considering that apple will sell 10mio units by end '08 (i believe) it would be a great market for games on the iphone. and i don't mean games like bejeveled or pacman. real 3d games.

what do you think?
 
I think this actually has merit... Like don't have those areas have a touch screen on them but just have touch sensors... I like it. It could work.
