WTB UK: iBook 12" G4

Says it all... Reputable and hassle-free buyer seeks iBook 12" G4, preferably from UK but overseas sellers with shipping also considered. Paypal only or cash if you live in London.

Lemme know what you've got with specs, condition and an asking price and we'll take it from there.

Thanks

BV

Since I'm across the pond, I realize this might not be high on your list, but I've got an 800 and enough parts to customize optical, hd, and ram. If you don't get other offers, give me a shout.

Cheers. You mean to say it's not intact at the mo, but you could put these parts in? What about the power supply and the condition of the keyboard, display and case?

Correct. I rehab these little guys for side cash (techound1 on ebay), so I have lots o' parts. You can also pick your condition if you like (and yes, some people do want a crusty case for monetary and/or anti-theft considerations ).

Is there a need for the iBook?

The reason I ask, is because I picked up a 'broken' PB G4 1GHz. 'Broken' turned out to be Optical drive stopping the unit from booting.

Unplugged the optical Drive to find it running like a beauty. Leopard runs on it quite nicely. Got that for 150.

Bargains can be had...

Thanks, I'll give it some thought and check out your eBay stuff over the weekend.

Ideally, I'm looking for something to run Leopard on, so a G4 1, 1.2 or 1.33 would be ideal just to give it a little bit of further longevity. Thanks, though.

If you're prepared to hunt round and maybe fix stuff; I'd rather pay for a working unit in good condition just to save on time.

I've got an iBook G4 12" 1.2ghz here if you still looking. Has 768mb Ram, leopard installed 30gb HDD and combodrive all working fine.
I don't use this much would rather use the imac G5 or wifes macbook pro - so if you can give the little'en a good home let me know.

Not sure what these go for, ebay seems to point to ~275 mark. Let me know what you were looking to pay!

BTW there is some damage to the charge caused by our jack russell, but a bit of electrical tape and a connector block and its been working fine for months.

That sounds ideal. Could you please PM me with email and general location details and we'll continue this conversation off-board over the weekend, thanks.

I have a 12" 1.2ghz iBook with combo drive, 30gb HD and 1.25mb Ram that we have just (I mean, like just this morning) decided to dump in favor of a new MacBook. Very good condition with no dead/stuck pixels.

I don't know how soon you must have what you're looking for, or even if you want to deal with the hassle of the overseas ship... I'd imagine I'll be placing the order for the new machine in the next two days.
