Hey there. I have a small query as to what could be causing the Windows XP error sound to play sometimes, when using Safari on 10.5.1.

I am not running my XP Parallels virtual machine when it does it...

What could be causing this?

XP error sound??

What websites are you visiting when this happens, and what other programs do you have open?

I am on forums which use PHP - such as this website - when it happens... and I have Adium, Mail, Safari and Finder open.

I just had the same problem and took forever to find out what kept making the error noise. Turns out it was a pop up ad in a new safari window behind all of my other windows.

There's some new (annoying) ads going around that play the XP error sound every few seconds, I've noticed them mostly in-line on some websites. Damn you, Adobe Flash.
