MacBook Air Superdrive compatible with MacBooks?

I have been checking out the MacBook Air Superdrive and it looks like exactly what I need for my combo drive MacBook. Problem is the listing shows that it is compatible with only the MacBook air, anyone know if it would work with other Apple portables running leopard (no reason it shouldn't as its just a external USB drive)
