if i get a bigger HD for my macbook that i currently have leopard on, can i install it again on the new drive?

i dont know, i dont know a whole lot about how it works, i thought maybe you cant do multiple installs... whats stopping someone from installing it on multiple computers? what is it registered to?

i know for windows you had to enter a product # but i never entered one for leopard. does it just recognize the computer or something?

Just boot from the DVD, and choose the drive you want to install on. I've currently got Leopard on my internal drive, and Tiger on an external one.

Nothing physically stops you installing the retail edition on as many Macs as you wish (except the EULA). DVDs shipped with Macs are limited to the product line - i.e. a MacBook Pro DVD installer won't work on an iMac.
