iPod touch Help With Installing New Apps..

Bought the Touch tonite and updated to 1.1.3 - that went smoothly. However, when I went to the iTunes store and hit the "Purchase New Apps" icon, nothing happened. I am afraid to do it again as I don't want to be double charged!
How can I tell if I purchased the $20 download?
How do I get these apps on my Touch?

Go to the homepage of the iTunes store, view your account options and it should display everything you've purchased. If the upgrade is listed, it means you have bought it but it hasn't downloaded/installed properly. Click "Report a Problem" and sent a query to Apple. They should place the download in your account at no extra charge.
