Recovering contacts from .Mac Address Book?

After doing a clean install, all the while smirking from a certain pride in knowing I had backed everything up, my stomach sank. I forgot to back up my contacts. But they're still online through .Mac! Is there any way I can import these back into Address Book.app?
 
yes. go to your system preferences, the .mac, then sync. and it'll give you the option to either replace everything on the computer, or replace everything on the .mac

Thanks! I was a little unsure of trying it earlier as I was afraid it might have simply erased my .Mac
