Whats the best free program?

Whats the best program overall for transerring music from the ipod (or in my situation iphone if that matters) to the mac?

I've tried a few and they don't seem to work well
 
Senuti is the best program I have used, and I have even tried some that you have to pay for.

What have your problems with Senuti been? It'll be hard for the community to suggest alternatives if we don't understand what you think are the shortcomings of your current solution.
 
What sort of trouble are you having with Senuti? It has always worked wonderfully in my experience.

Am I missing something here? Why dosent anyone use iTunes? It works perfectly fine! You dont need anything else and its free. Please tell me why everyone else is suggesting all these crazy alternatives.

From the iPod back to the Mac. This isn't for syncing, this is for getting music off an iPod (which Apple doesn't let you do in iTunes).
 
Honestly, it's been awhile since i've treid Senuti. (i think it was buggy before?)

When I get back from work today i'll check it out.
